eVTOLs

One of the fastest growing industry with an outlook of over $287 Billion by 2030 and about $1.5 Trillion by 2040. eVTOLs are going to be game changers in the way people travel. They are going to be cost effective and will probably cost a passenger as much as an UBER Black car ride would cost. It would help High Net Worth commuters as well as a Common Man cut time to travel.

With the market boom, over 150 startups from all over the world started looking at the industry and a good number of them have been making progress in the market. The biggest hurdle most of these eVTOL OEMs are going to face is the Aircraft Certification requirements by the likes of FAA, EASA, TCAA and India’s very own DGCA.

Over the past several years, LEOTAUR has been working directly with some of the market leaders in the eVTOL industry. While most of the 150+ wanna be OEMs may not make it past the drawing board and toy sized models, few of these OEMs have been flying prototypes for more than a decade – preparing their platforms for this industry. LEOTAUR has been focusing on those platforms which have proven prototypes in advanced stages of development and have major plans of manufacturing their aircraft platforms in India.

At this point of time, LEOTAUR Infinity Pvt. Ltd. is looking for potential partners for these OEMs who could fulfill some of the requirements of the OEMs. We are looking for:

  1. Manufacturing Partners: Potential partner should have the interest and wherewithal to invest in manpower and machinery to build the fuselage of the aircraft in a factory setting. Some of the programs expect the Manufacturing Partner to invest in infrastructure while the Non Recurring Expenditure (NRE) for the program will be borne by them. ie. Land, Factory related infrastructure which can be repurposed for some other program(s) is to be borne by the manufacturing partner but the labour, machinery (exclusively bought for the program) will be repaid back to the manufacturing partner by the OEM. This makes the business case much easier for the Manufacturing Partner. The Manufacturing Partner will be either working on Composite based fuselage or the next generation Thermoplastics fuselage. The knowhow and IP will be transferred to the Manufacturing Partner.
There are additional criteria such as certification for Aerospace standards etc which will be further discussed down the line
  2. Wire Harness Partners: The potential partner should have experience in Wire Harnessing preferably in the Aerospace industry
  3. System Integrators: Some of the OEMs are looking for partners who have skills in Sub-Assemblies. These could be in the area of Avionics or putting together the Rotor heads.
